The villa was purchased in July 2010 from a well-known local constructor Enrique who is professionally engaged in the construction of luxury private houses in Marbella. In 2010 his company has built four impressive villas on Calle Lentisco street in urbanization Los Monteros only.
By purchasing this particular house I felicitously managed to avoid typical mistakes that have been made by my friends who also became owners of similar houses on the coast:
– those of my comrades who now live on Golden Mile close to the city center suffer from noise and smog caused by the traffic as well as from the constant jams on their way to the city or back home;
-owners of the villas on the “first line” now writhe from moisture in the house and fog and cold and piercing winds in their gardens, especially in late autumn and winter periods. I keep hearing their constant complains about fungus on the walls and furniture and perennial smell of mustiness inside their houses that has been bought for absolutely insane amount of money.

One should also keep in mind that accommodations within the city boundaries as well as ones on the plain have no real view. While the breathtaking view is a backbone of the truly luxurious house no matter in what part of the World you want it bought. Being an artist myself I can bet my best set of brushes on this statement!

After considering all above mentioned I decided to buy a house with
-Great view on the sea and on the wilds;
-Dry and clean air;
-Far from city smog and noise but within the short drive from restaurants and tourists pilgrimage destinations.

This is how this apple of the eye was chosen from 45 houses that I inspected within a year.

This truly stylish piece of architecture is situated 500 meters above the sea level. The climate on the hill is dry, in summer the temperature is about 4 degrees lower than in the city. When it’s fog or rain downhills up here one can enjoy sunshine and magnificent view on the Gibraltar, Morocco shore and Grenada Mountains.
The winding but safe road to highway takes just 5 minutes and feels like groovy attraction itself so it is really private but still just next to the famous get-together places such as Puerto-Banus (12 minutes of driving) and Bahila de Marbella beach (6 minutes by car).
Another great advantage of this location is that right on the back yard there is a country road through the wilds saturated with clean forest air that is perfect for hiking of bicycle trips.

After purchasing the house I personally decorated it with the assistance of talented designer Vlad Maboroda. All the furniture was designed and produced for this particular house in Italy – and this can be proved by documents.

There are five bedrooms one of which I turned into personal office. Each bedroom has in-suite and stunning sea or mountains view. The master bedroom is huge but really cozy due to numerous meticulously selected niceties and natural fireplace.
Due to lack of space for spa center I decided to turn the parking into gym, sauna with hamam, massage and dzhakuzzi for six persons, bar, karaoke and home theatre. With all my modesty I should mention that the newly built spa becomes the favorite place among my friends and guests which is proved by rapturous feedbacks in villa memory book. One can find it strange but the modern elevator that reaches all the floors survived this renovation-revolution.
Instead of the perished parking the villa got a nice modern garage next to the kitchen.

Outside the house right on the lawn there is an infinity pool that may be considered the best place for selfie in Spain. Down the hill there is a shed in Malibu style with a barbecue.

The mountain-view side of the hill is covered by barbed bushes of blackberry. This natural fence reliably protects the house from unwanted guests. As this land once belonged to no one the booster wall had been constructed and turned into lovely terrace with 600 sq. meters of fruit trees and a garden house.

A couple of years ago all the vast territory of the house had been watered from the city central system that used to shock me by truly inadequate bills. Therefore I received a necessary license, drilled a 150-meters-deep private well and started to supply the house with pure spring water. This innovation gave me ca 6500 euros of economy per annum.
Once I stated to improve the house life support systems I just couldn’t help installing solar panels for showers and kitchen (this gave me another 8000 euro of annual economy – papers are applied) and changing old-days air conditioning system to high-tech break-through one (30% savings on the heating and electricity bills). This unique device not just provides hot or cold air but also cools down or heating up floors depending on the season.

The villa is also equipped with the smart-home system “Domotica” that allows owner to control all the systems with the built-in touchpad. One can switch on and off lights inside and outside the house, lower blinds and perform numerous other actions just by pressing a button.

Another great hi-tech solution for keeping the house clean and cozy is a centralized built-in system for vacuum cleaning. The house keeper has an access to it from every room.
And of course there is a satellite TV and Internet.

The only source of constant disappointment that I couldn’t get rid of is the urbanization payments that suck out of my budget from 4 000 to 5 000 euro per year.
However this is the price one must pay for living in one of the best neighborhoods on Costa del Sol.
